in anticipation of the upcoming sequel to the game Starcraft, i decided to do a painting of it. I worked on and off for nearly a month. Some areas could've been refined and i could've worked on it a bit more but i guess i realized i could go on for another month so i decided to put a stop to it. Since i suffer from right wrist problem, i painted most of this with my left but it started to show a bit of strain when I began to experience shoulder pain. Fortunately it healed up in couple days but in the mean time i used my right hand and finished up the painting.

edit: reduced the red balance + cropped the top and bottom a bit.

Great texture and color work in this! I especially like the detailing you did on the central marine's left arm—all scratched up to hell. Very slick.

I read your description and I agree; a job like this could go on and on until it's obsessively perfect, but the variety and effort you put into it already speaks volumes.
